Summary

This device driver was only enabled in i386 kernels. While the driver
is not inherently i386-only, this hardware (leased-line modems) is no
longer in common use. If someone needs this driver (and tests it) on
a supported architecture it can be resurrected easily.

Event Timeline

This hardware dates from the late 90s to early 2000s, making it > 25 years old at this point for a connect technology that's completely disappeared. Linux just removed it this past june in the 7.1 release.

These were a legend already when I first touched FreeBSD :)
