I can confirm this is valid, although we need approval from srcmgr as well.

Well, technically I'm on srcmgr@ (even if not a voting member), and there's no formal approval necessary for NOTES AFAIK. Nonetheless, I've added the group out of courtesy and caution, so that someone else can chime in if, e.g., there's some convention that applies that I'm not aware of.
