Hey! Actually I had the same doubt but I couldn't think or didn't find anything regarding this kind of slang. The closest thing I could think of was subs like "subdirectories" or subids like "subnetwork ids", so just to be sure I put resources. But I'm curious to know as well!

This arrived in fc32c802158f4e with no prior history. Agree that "network suds" does not make sense, and is not a simple typo for something that would make sense. I see that DragonflyBSD still has this same text, fwiw.

Resources makes some sense, but the sentences that follow don't really follow on well from that (but better than "suds" certainly). I'd say "resources" is an improvement for now, until we can revisit this tuning guide holistically.
