the gpio@0 nodes contains gpio-ranges that used to remove the am335x_scm_padconf.c file - the same information about the location (reg offset) of the pins, the more detailed view of the muxmode provided by am335x_scm_padconf.c is only used by the system in the am335x_dmtpps.c driver.
