Not fully aware, but probably PORTREVISION bump is required to rebuild packages with an expiration notice.

According to @rene, PORTVERSION bump is not needed. One more thins that is needed is to add expired ports to MOVED.
@rene am I right?

Not entirely sure either, it is what I remembered from earlier. The idea is to not rebuild packages when it is not needed.

@swills any thoughts, please?

My conclusion (after evaluating commit messages from recent past) is that, if the port is not being updated along with setting expiration date, bumping the PORTREVISION is not needed.

Well, let's do not bump PORTREVISION, there is no special notice about that in our Porters Handbook, so, approved.
The records to MOVED should be added once those ports move out from the ports tree.
