Taken from intel-gpu-tool, intel-backlight allows reading and
adjusting the current backlight level on many modern intel
GPUs, regardless of proper X driver support.

Maybe the plist is a bit useless here:

PLIST_FILES= bin/intel_backlight
PORTEXAMPLES= isl_backlight.sh

Use of sudo assumes the user has security/sudo installed. They might not, though, because the port does not depend on it. Might be better to change the examples to show a root prompt, and (optionally) mention the root requirement:

Usage (as root):

  1. intel-backlight ...
