The change seems ok, I am surprised I didn't see any problems in my deployments or poudriere. Was a bug reported on Bugzilla for this ?

No, this problem arises when building SSSD from the master branch. I'm slowly working on upstreaming our SSSD patches as well as porting the latest 2.10.x release series of SSSD: https://github.com/SSSD/sssd/pulls?q=is%3Apr+author%3Aarrowd+is%3Aclosed
