Summary

Completed the Spanish translation for the Advanced Networking chapter. This work brings the chapter to 100% synchronization with the latest English version. All previously pending strings have been translated and reviewed to ensure full coverage.

Test Plan

Build was verified on FreeBSD 15.0-RELEASE-p4 using the docproj toolset. The command "make DOC_LANG=es" was executed in the documentation directory; the advanced-networking chapter was built successfully and correctly rendered in AsciiDoc without formatting errors.

Event Timeline

Thank you! For taking the time to translate the handbook.
I just glanced over and found this minor nit.
I wonder why backup server is not translated as servidor de respaldo.
Servidor de reemplazo to me sounds like a replacement server.

Updated the patch with the following changes:

  • Changed "servidor de reemplazo" to "servidor de respaldo" for "backup server" as suggested.
  • Maintained technical identifiers and protocols such as "failover", "loadbalance", "lacp", "roundrobin", "sticky", and "span" in English to ensure consistency with system parameters and avoid artificial translations.
  • Translated "preemption" as "función preemption" to bridge the technical concept with the sysctl variable name.
  • Verified that all punctuation and AsciiDoc macros (man:sysctl, man:ifconfig) are preserved from the original English source.

Hi Jose,

If you consider that documents are ready to publish, could you approve them as Spansih speaking commiter, and I could commit them. Alfredo currently is only one active translator, and he is doing great work to translate new documents and fix outdated translations. He need support from acting commiters.
If something is not ideal, it can be fixed in future in any moment. Alfredo translated documents, that did not exist, and they are much better then nothing in anycase.
