Summary
  • Remove spurious quotes from attributes.
  • Update the descriptions of supported architectures including adding aarch64 and RISC-V and removing sparc64.
  • Suggest installing packages via pkg(8) rather than the installer.
  • Claim 13.0 is a release and not a developer snapshot.
  • Trim stale info about obtaining FreeBSD and instead point the user at the "where/" page on the main website.
  • Switch mailing list from current@ to stable@.
  • Add an explicit link to bugs.freebsd.org and remove mention of send-pr(1).
  • Just assume bsdinstall works on all platforms.
  • Remove a spurious comma.

We might also want to make this "derived from" or move "based on 4.4 BSD Lite" to a second sentence. I suspect that for most people today "4.4 BSD Lite" is not going to provide much insight.

I'd probably be tempted to drop it altogether rather than move to a second sentence. I also added "open source".

109–110

I think if you wanted the comma it was to make "before installing it" an aside in which case you would want commas on both sides. I like the second suggestion better.
