I can't test it. I don't have any ARM devices I can install FreeBSD on. Should I explicitly ask the submitter (who is also the maintainer)?

Yeah, I think it would be good to know whether the change was intetional or not

It seems to work, at least for 11 armv6 and arm64. They have prebuilt binaries: http://www.dyncall.org/download
