Summary

From FreeBSD bug 268199:

Given bug 263489 comment 23, I imagine that there was an omission from release notes for 12.4.

Whilst here, hide an empty section and subsection.

OpenSSH service broken upgrading from 12.3 to 12.4 : freebsd – I'll pin this as an announcement for a few weeks.

Any reason not to make this change in the release notes?

I do not see any reason not to.

For drive-by readers: the rationale for abandonment here was https://reviews.freebsd.org/D38999.

In other words, it made sense to abandon the planned change to release notes after an item (not an errata notice) was added to release errata, which is separate from the errata subsection of release notes. There's a slight sense of humour to those words :-)
