Optional suggestions:

  1. It makes more sense to me to use the text FreeBSD channel and FreeBSD Meetings channel for the links. If we use FreeBSD, I would expect the link to take us to the main page.
  1. Add commas before both instances of you'll to separate the introductory prepositional phrases from the main clauses. I know, I know. Splitting hairs over commas is the ultimate nit-pick.

Yep @jrm, good catch on the channel link, thank you. Fixed. I'm ignoring the nit picking — even my grammar checker (ProWritingAid) thinks that's wrong. You're highlighting a reading stylistic choice, which is fine, but is left to the reader. Grammatically it's incorrect. My edit stands 😊

Sure. That's why I listed it as an optional suggestion. Your grammar checker must also say the first sentence is wrong because it's the same situation.

On YouTube, we host... (comma)
On the main FreeBSD channel you'll find... (no comma)

Avoid the use of "you":
s/you'll find/are/

Grammatically it's incorrect.

I got curious and also put the sentence into a grammar checker. Without the commas, it flagged it as an error.

I guess English just sucks, and our grammar checkers can't even agree.

@bcr is that a stylistic choice we make across the site?

Update: Ah yes, I see it in the doc guide now https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/fdp-primer/writing-style/

Noted. Update coming!

@bcr I'm going to politely disagree with you 😄 Look at the page as it stands now … https://www.freebsd.org/community/ full of 'you'. I actually think in this context it is _correct_ to refer to the reader, it's more personal and _welcoming_, which is surely the point of a community…

Alright, we can do the sweep to remove "you" in the whole page after your change.
