Just be curious, do you create this change by hand or some tool available? I feed the patch to ChatGPT (after splitting into small chunks as it is lazy to read a large code), and tested with some injected errors. It verified the conversion is good.

By hand. There's likely some existing tooling out there but this was a relatively small amount to deal with, and there's likely few to no remaining examples we'll have to deal with so I didn't bother with tooling.
