I see the point, but it looks kind of unbalanced because most of the other lines are not full screen width. I somewhat prefer the current version. And I could see where just removing the welcome line would leave the version number line for the same effect.

The last time I touched this file invoked a class 3 bikeshed in -arch, and that might affect my thinking on it.
