net-mgmt/pushgateway found its way in the ports tree as an interim release for the migration of the data format[1].

Because the maintainer of the port plans to upgrade to a version >= 1.3.0 in about 4 weeks, all users of the port should migrate in time.

After some discussion on ports-committers@ it seems useful to inform the users in UPDATING.
