The problem arises where libmpi exists both under -L$LOCALBASE/lib and under -L/usr/local/mpi/openmpi/lib: sometimes the linker will choose $LOCALBASE/lib/libmpi even if you requested OpenMPI, and of course this mix of libraries provided by two different implementations causes failures.

thierry@, feel free to commit this yourself if you like the changes, since you are the maintainer. Or I can do it if you prefer.

Thanks for prompt response. Perhaps it makes sense to include commit metaline "Approved by: adamw (email, implicit)" or smth like that.
Sorry for the noise.
@vsasjason_gmail.com you're right, it would be weird without the maintainer consent, but @adamw has given consent for this on the ports-developer mailing list. This work is to help him out.

Testing requires an additional project: https://github.com/kdheepak/taskwarrior-testdata
Add LD_CONFIG=yes and test portlint, portclippy and poudriere
No reason that I know of. portlint didn't catch this, but portlint -A did. Lesson learned.
I'll upload a new revision.
