xwayland-devel was removed here a71eaeb3e54e1acd3dc42fd601b49ff3bd689453

x11-servers/xwayland-devel: remove until enough upstream changes accumulate

So it will probably come back, but as far as documentation is concerned it's likely that installing xwayland will remain the appropriate thing for the documentation.
