Summary

Hi,

Currently most of the LMBD-dependent ports rely on lmdb0, while knot* ports rely on lmdb1.

With this patch, we add options to give users a chance to pick between LMDB versions.

This might be a fix for the package conflicts (i.e some packages use lmdb0 and knot depends on lmdb1). Then user could compile it from ports with the compatible version of LMDB. But I am unsure if lmdb1 supports database of lmdb0 back and forth.

Build tests are fine in Poudriere with both lmdb0 and lmdb1 options.

Also note that this idea has been done in mail/postfix* ports recently, so this is highly inspired by it.

I also want to get it approved by the maintainer, Leo.

Thanks in advance.

Test Plan

I have could not test runtime of them.

Hmm, I noticed that bogofilter did that way, I'll give a look.

Okay.

Thank you.

Tested build with bulk -t origin/port@all.

Hi,

I've got feedback from the users of knot3 that this change will cause big problems. So I am stepping back.

Thanks for your time.
