So some history. phk added this twice: once in 2003 and again in 2004. Søren (sos) used them in his non-cam ata rework also in 2004. This was the only in-tree driver that used them. It was removed in 2013 in the move to the CAM-based ata framework that mav did. trasz removed the machinery and functions that used this in 2016.

So this appears to be totally dead and unused and can be removed.
