Why you do not use Weblate to store and process translations? It is very comfortable to track all changes. If you like, I could try to import this adoc file to French version of Weblate (make file for import and you can import it)? I am from Russian translators team.

I’ve tried weblate, but it allows only to translate sentence-by-sentence only, which is a very limited way to translate.

Weblate does a great job to track all changes in the original text and shows what you need to translate in changed text. You do not need to translate in Weblate interface (anyway easy to make small fixes). Weblate exports sentences to PO file (replicate to freebsd-doc-translate repository in github) and can import PO files after translation. If you can include PO files into your translation process (automatically convert them to the format you use during translation or use them directly), you can work in comfort way.
