Summary

It is supposed to be used in pppd(8) which was removed in r190751.
Since then, no non-maintenance commits have been made.

Event Timeline

It's my belief that pppd has it's own chat in it. This was also used by SLIP and I think uucp. We killed slip ages ago. Uucp moved to a port. There is a small chance this will break that port at run time. Not sure how to find the remaining uucp not over TCP users though. It's likely ok enough, though, since the action would be to just include a copy there...
