Summary

Libavl is no more a dynamic library, and becomes a third party source code you can include in
your project and build with. This changes the nature of the port.

The new version include source code, samples and documentation.

devel/libavl/Makefile
10–13

These go after maintainer/comment

21–22

That should not be needed at all.

24–25

That should be replaced with:

INSTALL_TARGET=distdir
26–28

That should go in a post-install: target, also, the things should be splitted into:

  • Documentation in ${DOCSDIR}
  • Source files should go in ${DATADIR}

Also, are there ports depending on this ? Do they still build with this update ?

Hopefully not. Nobody uses it in ports. Maybe it's a good idea to make a new port and deprecate this one, just in case ?
