This is great, thanks Dave!

If at all possible, could you add https://github.com/podman-container-tools/container-libs/pull/935 as a patch - this fixes image unpacking so that it correctly preserves setuid/setgid bits. Michael Johnson noticed this problem when his Home Assistant image tried to run ping as non-root.
