• Graphite Project is concentrating on the go-carbon project rather than the python based implementation. There are long pending updates on the new releases and support for more recent versions of python which has not taken place. So use databases/go-carbon
• Set EXPIRATION_DATE 2025-04-26

If someone needs this port feel free to undeprecate and takeover
maintainership.
