pete_nomadlogic.org added a comment to D22521: new ports: Nvidia headless/hybrid graphics ("Optimus" support).

Wanted to chime in here that this patchset seems to work well on my thinkpad P43s with i915 and Quadro P520 gpu's installed. running both chrome and firefox works well, they report the nvidia gpu being used and webGL demo's seem to render without issues. I did bump the nvidia-driver DISTVERSION to 440.82 from 440.64. I did no have to pass any special configuration options to Xorg either, so it seems the latest xorg-1.20 code is playing nicely as well.

pete_nomadlogic.org added a comment to D23856: graphics/wayland: disable posix_fallocate on FreeBSD < 13.

I have tested this on my 12-STABLE kabylake system under sway. Previously xfce4-terminal would fault on startup, with this patch xfce4-terminal now works as expected. Thanks!

pete_nomadlogic.org added a comment to V7: Should man(1)'s default pager change to "less -s"?.

I'm in the leave it as it camp - although one question I have is how will this effect interactions via serial console? I've had multiple devices I interact with via serial console where using "less" as my pager is not really an enjoyable experience. These are mostly devices running some form of linux tho...
