Also, -P doesn't work in UEFI.

Also also, not all systems with BMCs provide keyboards. OCAs (at least the X9 Supermicro ones) this works.

What do they provide instead? Serial? Nothing?

This is fine. -P on UEFI is hit or miss, and I'm not sure why.
